My name Kelly Mundy and I run Portsmouth Pets with my husband Peter and daughter Jasmine (7).

If you are going away you will know it can be stressful enough on your pets without being taken out of their own comfortable surrounds (this is especially the case for cats). Here at Portsmouth Pets we aim to reduce this stress by keeping your pets at home where they feel safe and visiting them throughout the day (there is an extra charge for multiple visits - see charges below).

While you are away we will visit your pets in your home and feed, water (this can include houseplants), pet, brush if required, spend time with and even give medication to them if required (sorry no injection based medication). All food, litter etc must be provided by you for the duration of your trip (we will buy extra if required but this will be charged at extra cost). As an added free extra we will also open and close curtains and switch lights on/off for extra security.

As experienced pet owners we know how to best look after a wide range of pets from goldfish to dogs so you can feel comfortable in the knowledge that your pet/pets will be in very loving capable hands.

Unlike other pet sitters we only charge £2.50 for key pick up be it your 1st time with us or your 21st time (many sitter charge around £5 per time for this service). If you would prefer and are looking to use our service regularly we will hold a set of keys for you at a one off £5 fee.

If you are interested in us looking after your pet/pets then please contact us on the information below and we will arrange an initial meeting at a time convenient to you to discuss yours and your pets needs while you are away and allow us to meet you pets so they will recognize us when we visit. If you require our service at short notice this is not a problem although if you have not used this service before we would still request a short meeting with yourselves before we look after your pets.

You will find our price structure is very competitive compared to other pet sitters:

If you live further than 5 miles from us there will be a 0.40p per mile charge.

One visit per day to cat/cats: £6.
(If there is more than three cats or other pets there will be an extra £1 charge per pet.)

One visit per day to smaller pets (hamsters etc): £5

Extra daily visits: £4.50 per visit.

Key Holding Service: £5 one off payment.

Dog Sitting in our home: £10 per day.
We currently can look after one dog in our own home providing that they are neutered (if female), friendly to other pets (as we have cats and a dog of our own) and is house trained. All we ask for is that you provide their own food, lead, feeding bowls and they are up to date on flea treatment and worming medicines.

All pet owners will be required to provide their vets details, emergency contact details and any insurance details as a precautionary measure.

For further information or to arrange a meeting please contact us by e-mail on kjmundy@talktalk.net or call us on (02392)327057.
